Pinched Nerve

All it took was a pinched nerve to put me flat on my back.  The pain is still there and the remembrance of not being able to move lingers.  I have never before experienced a pinched nerve that completely immobilized me.  There I laid flat on my back with rain hitting my face and calling for help.

Have you ever had someone pinch a spiritual nerve that put you flat on your spiritual back and left you calling for help?  An unkind word and thoughtless deed someone did to you that linger in your mind.  We may say to ourselves, "Well, that's the last time I'll reach out to them."  Forgiveness doesn't come easily.  Cry out to God, “Lord, help me!”  He promises to come to our aid and help and heal us.

I'm so thankful that God is forgiving and I am called by God to be a forgiving individual.  The Psalmist cried out to God Psalm 25:18 consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.  We too cry out to God to be forgiving and are to remember to be forgiving to others because we have been forgiven.

Col. 3:13 - bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

1John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Mat 7:24-27 - Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.  And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.

There is so much hatred in the world today.  If people were more forgiving there would be fewer wars and conflicts.  Why can't we love others as God has loved and forgiven us?

We should not be surprised that there is so much hatred in the world today resulting in so much conflict.  It has all been predicted that it would be a sign of the end times.  Matthew 24:6 - And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.  True peace can only be found through Jesus Christ.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ was called the "Prince of Peace"  Isaiah 9:6  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

When people reject Christ the only thing left is conflict.  That is why there is so much conflict in the Middle East - because Christ has been rejected.

Families, businesses, and communities who have rejected Christ will never experience the wonderful "fruit of the Spirit" of Love, Joy, and Peace.

How does one recover come a pinched nerve?  How does one recover from a spiritually pinched nerve?

Suffering a pinched nerve in your neck, back, arms or elsewhere in your body is painful and can prevent one from being able to or even feeling like taking part in normal, everyday activities.

Knowing how to treat a pinched nerve will help you deal with the pain, whether using home remedies or over-the-counter medications to temporarily relieve the pain, or lifestyle changes to curb recurrence of pinched nerves.

Pray and ask God to heal your hurts and pains.  He is the Great Physician.
