Heh! Heh! Heh!
There is an occasion for everything and a
time for every activity under heaven … a time to weep a time to laugh; a time
to mourn and a time to dance
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4.
Laughter is
medicine for the soul, but sometimes, amid the stresses of the day, we forget
to take our medicine. Instead of viewing
our world with a mixture of optimism and humor, we allow worries and
distractions to rob us of the joy that God intends for our lives.
So the next time
you find yourself dwelling upon the negatives of life, refocus your attention
to positive things. The next time you
find yourself falling prey to the blight of pessimism, stop yourself and turn
your thoughts around. If you see your
glass half empty, rest assured that your spiritual vision is impaired. With God, your glass is never half-empty. With God as your protector and Christ as your
savior, your glass is always filled to the brim.
Today, as you go
about your daily activities, approach life with a smile on your face and open
your heart to those around you. Laugh
every chance you get. After all, God
created laughter and indeed, Father knows best.
So laugh!
A joyful heart makes a cheerful face.
Proverbs 15:13
I have spoken these things to you so that
My joy may be in you and your joy may be made complete.
John 15:11
C. S. Lewis
wrote that "A little comic relief in a discussion does no harm, however serious the
topic maybe. In my own experience the
funniest things have occurred in the gravest and most sincere conversations."
If you want people to feel comfortable
around you, to enjoy being with you, then learn to laugh at yourself and find
humor in life’s little mishaps.

A timely tip
Get everybody
laughing! If family life is the cake,
then laughter is the icing. And
everybody in your clan deserves a slice with lots of icing.
"Show me a person who doesn't like to
laugh and I'll show you a person with a toe tag."
Julia Roberts
"Always
laugh when you can, it is cheap medicine.”
George Gordon Byron
"The
person who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused."
Shirley McClain
"You
have as much laughter as you have faith.”
